These two adorable love birds were planning a Spring trip to Disney from Connecticut. So at the beginning of the year, they reached out for details about having their engagement photography session done. I always appreciate when people book early since it really helps make the planning so much smoother! We were able to discuss location details, timing and wardrobe well in advance. As a result, Melissa & Christian did a wonderful job of planning their schedule & outfits! We even texted for a bit and they sent me photos of possible dress options. In the end, the colors they chose matched each location beautifully and complimented one another.
We started at the Port Orleans Riverside resort where they were staying. Melissa had her hair and makeup professionally done by Jordana from House of Beauty right in her hotel suite. Once she was done getting glammed, I met them there to do some photos around the resort. I love the New Orleans theme to this magical Disney location. The waterwheel, bridges and fountains are my favorite as a photographer! I feel like it’s a little hidden gem in Orlando. It was also a childhood fave of Melissa & her family so it was extra special to shoot there.
After that, we headed over to the Grand Floridian Resort together. We had a chance to hit lots of photo worthy spots. That included the popular second story chandeliers, the grand staircase and the main lobby. We got lucky the pianist was in the lobby playing and they requested a romantic song to dance to. It was so incredibly sweet to watch and Christian knows how to twirl Melissa soooo good– they were awesome dancers. 💃 Despite there being lots of guests in the lobby for the Easter festivities, I managed to grab some great empty shots that make it look like they own the place. Love that!
Here are just a handful of my favorite shots from this engagement session. I hope you enjoy!
