Corey contacted me about 24 hours before he was expecting to propose to his girlfriend Magy! Luckily I’m a bit of a night owl and I’m often up late editing, so when I got his email I was able to call him right away to set things up! His plan was to have his son and his girlfriend’s daughter help make the proposal extra special! Of course I thought it was an AWESOME idea to incorporate their kids. His cover story was that his job was having an event near Lake Eola and they were going to stop by the park first as a family to feed the ducks and let the kids burn off some energy. It was a totally believable story and something they’ve done before so Magy would not suspect a thing!
For the proposal, Corey would act like he forgot something in the car, but would return with adorable signs for the kids to hold up as well as the ring!! Granted working with little kids isn’t always the easiest thing in the world, but their two cutie pies did such a great job. Of course Magy said YES! They also got a nice applause from people walking by who witnessed his super sweet proposal. :-)
Their family, who was on deck to congratulate them, then whisked away the kiddos for some official engagement photos of these sweethearts. Despite some light drizzles, we had a great time capturing some beautiful images around Lake Eola which I frequent often for photo shoots. It was a beautifully executed and super romantic proposal and I’m SO glad Corey decided to have me capture it for them! I hope you enjoy a handful of my favorite photos from their epic proposal story below.
