This adorable couple (and their sweet Pomeranian puppy!) came all the way from Toronto, Canada for their engagement photo shoot at Disney. Funny enough, they actually inquired with me back in 2022 but were not able to fit in the session during their former trips to Orlando. This time they made a dedicated trip in the Spring just for this shoot specifically. I’m so honored to know they held out for the opportunity to work with me! ☺️
They decided to bring their sweet fur baby Rosé as she is such an important part of their relationship. She was such a good girl, but I always recommend bringing a doggy helper to help keep things stress-free. Since K+C were visiting from out of town, I was able to bring along Cesar as our official pup assistant and they quickly became fast friends.
We decided to start the session at Port Orleans Riverside where the couple was already staying. I have said it before, but this location is such a hidden gem in Orlando. It has all the southern charm of New Orleans with the whimsical beauty of Disney and it’s so BIG! There are literally tons of beautiful spots for photos here. Some of my favorite photo worthy locations include the water wheel, the wooden bridge across the ‘river’ and the reflection pool fountain. It was also perfect because we were able to take photos with Rosé for the first 1-hour of the photo shoot and then we were able to let her rest in the room while we went to the second location at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.
We started the shoot at 4:30pm so the first hour was a bit harsh with sunlight, but I am always really good at finding shade and seeking out beautiful light any time of day. I also did my best to keep them out of full sun so they wouldn’t completely melt on me! Once we got to the Grand Floridian, it was after 5:30pm so we had the golden sunset lighting working more in our favor. We shot all the way until the sun went down about 6:30pm and then they went off to enjoy a well deserved dinner at 1900 Park Fare. It was such a fun session and I genuinely enjoyed meeting them so much. All in all I delivered 129 total edited images, but I had to narrow it down a bit for this blog post so here are a few of my favorite-favorite photos. 😎
