When Ashley, a photographer herself, reached out to me about her intimate family wedding at The Acre in Orlando I was super excited! I absolutely L-O-V-E photographing intimate weddings. As fun and exciting as huge wedding celebrations can be, the mushy side of me totally loves being in on something so incredibly special and knowing that only a handful of people will witness it makes me feel extra honored to capture it. They truly picked the perfect, most charming venue by choosing The Acre as well! It is such a unique and eclectic place to get married. I just loved all the little hidden nooks and crannies that make for the most gorgeous photos! And of course the cactus is a super cool change of pace from the traditional Florida palm trees.
What I loved even more about Ashley & John’s wedding was that their family of seven would be becoming one as a result of their union. And their little ones made the cutest darn bridal party I have ever seen! Her blush pink love bird theme fit the scenery at the Acre beautifully and despite some drizzles we totally managed to get some gorgeous shots of their special day. They also included fun personalized touches throughout their day. My fave was the ode to John who is a firefighter and the cutting of the cake with an axe was definitely a first for me! It was too perfect.
I had a blast documenting this beautifully non-traditional wedding celebration and I’m certain that the Arnette family has a lifetime of love and happiness ahead of them. Cheers to Ashley & John + five!
