Kraft Azalea Garden is one of those places that feels calm the moment you arrive. This small park tucked along the water in Winter Park offers quiet paths, soft light, and just enough greenery to let couples be the focus. It was the perfect setting for Katie and Kellie’s engagement session.
As an LGBTQ+ friendly Orlando photographer, sessions like this mean a lot to me. I am always grateful when couples trust me to document their love honestly and openly. Katie and Kellie brought warmth, ease, and a deep connection that made this session feel effortless from start to finish.
Every love story deserves to be seen and celebrated. Katie and Kellie’s session was a beautiful reminder that connection does not need to be loud to be powerful. Their energy together was calm, confident, and full of affection. They showed up exactly as they are, which is always my goal for any engagement session.
Being an LGBTQ+ friendly Orlando photographer is not about labels. It is about creating a space where couples feel safe, respected, and fully themselves. I am thankful for couples who are willing to share their story with me so I can capture it in a way that feels real and true to them.
Kraft Azalea Gardens is a favorite for engagement sessions in Winter Park for a reason. The natural light filters beautifully through the trees, and the waterfront views create a soft, romantic backdrop without feeling staged. It allows couples to relax, walk, laugh, and connect without distraction.
For Katie and Kellie, the gardens offered the perfect balance. Quiet moments along the water mixed with playful movement through the pathways made the session feel natural and unforced.
Note: This location has definitley become extremely popular with photographers recently and it’s not unusual that there are 3-4 photo sessions going on at once (sometimes more during weekends!) so that is important to note for couples that may be a little extra shy.
Katie and Kellie chose their outfits thoughtfully, and it showed. Katie wore a blue dress with a soft print that added texture and movement, while Kellie chose a casual white dress that felt timeless and relaxed. Together, their looks complemented each other without competing.
This kind of wardrobe choice photographs beautifully. Coordinated but not identical outfits allow each person’s personality to come through while still feeling cohesive. It is always a win when couples lean into what feels like them rather than trying to match exactly.
To finish the session, Katie and Kellie brought their dogs to join in. Adding pets is one of my favorite ways to personalize an engagement session!! As a doggie mom of 3 myself, I believe dogs are family so having them included always makes the photos even more meaningful.
They brought along a much needed doggie assistant (Kellie’s mom!) which is always recommended when bringing your fur babies along.
Whether you are planning an engagement session at Kraft Azalea Gardens or another beautiful spot in Central Florida, my goal is always the same. I want your photos to feel authentic, comfortable, and reflective of who you are together.
As an LGBTQ+ friendly Orlando photographer, I am deeply honored to work with couples of all identities and backgrounds. Your love deserves to be documented and celebrated with care and intention. 🤍
