If there is one way to pull out all the stops for your surprise proposal– I think it’s fair to say Robert nailed it. When he told me he wanted to propose to his beautiful girlfriend on the field at the Orlando City Soccer stadium I was like… wait, what? Then I was immediately like HECK YES. It doesn’t get much cooler than having a whole Major League Soccer stadium to yourself!

Of course in order to get Victoria there outside of a game day was going to take some clever story telling. So he came up with the idea of telling her that they had been invited to an event for community leaders and as part of the ‘reception’ they would be given a private tour of the stadium. This way they would both be dressed up in “business casual” attire and she wouldn’t have any suspicions! So smart.

When I arrived I was given private access to a parking lot along the back of the building and escorted to the area where I would have the best view of where they’d be. I’m not going to lie– being there with the place completely empty was SO COOL. I was definitley geeking out! Once they arrived, their OSC guide was to start the tour out of the tunnel and then excuse herself to attend to an urgent matter leaving the two of them alone on the field.

The whole plan went off without a hitch and Robert got down on one knee at the edge of the field– of course she said YES! Victoria’s best friend who was hiding out nearby came out to congratulate them and they all went up to a private suite to have some celebratory drinks. It was truly one for the record books and it was a massive honor to capture this special moment for them.
