Queenie & Jerry | Orlando Anniversary Photographer

I’ve had the awesome opportunity to photograph weddings and engagements alllll over Disney, but I am typically shooting at the resorts (all of which I love!) and I don’t usually get to spend too much time in the parks themselves. Many of my clients find the resorts are a great option when you want that “Disney” flavor without the crowds or the logistics involved in going to the actual theme park. However when I had this conversation with Queenie during our planning, she shared that it was her childhood dream to have photos taken at the iconic Magic Kingdom and since she was unable to do so for her engagement photos, she and her now husband went out of their way to plan it for their one year wedding anniversary! So they planned this trip to Orlando from Washington DC specifically to celebrate the occasion at the most magical place on earth and I’m so thrilled they invited me along.

Of course I was happy not only to help make her childhood dream come true, but I’m always up for a good challenge. Although I know that nobody expects images of Magic Kingdom looking remotely empty in the middle of the day– I took it upon myself to try to capture images that featured only them and the magic of Disney without all of the tourists and craziness in the background! It was certainly a little tough, but I had a fun time flexing my creative muscle and I’m super happy with all of the beautiful photos I was able to capture for them. They were also so sweet and went along with all of my ideas without batting an eye! It’s always amazing to have wonderful clients that have full trust in you as their photographer. :) I hope you enjoy a few of my favorite images from their magical anniversary shoot below!!
