Laura and Thomas are both talented musicians so it was important to them to incorporate an artsy vibe into their engagement session to showcase their creative sides. When Laura mentioned that she really wanted to take photos in front of the murals around downtown Orlando I was extra excited! I am always scouting new wall murals around the city, to the point where I actually keep a running list of cool spots in the notes app on my iPhone. :)
I knew right away that the iconic pastel colored mural in the Mills 50 area had to be our first stop. This beautiful piece of art by Andrew Spear features some of the most recognizable buildings from the Orlando skyline paired with the infamous Lake Eola swan and it’s probably my favorite wall in the city! After spending some time trying NOT to get hit by a car shooting on the side of the road (totally worth it by the way) we headed over to a few other awesome graffiti inspired walls nearby. It was very reminiscent of Wynwood Walls in Miami. So freakin’ cool!
Our last stop on our tour of downtown Orlando was The Balcony. This unique wedding and event venue features one-of-a-kind city views and the sunsets on the rooftop are literally to die for. We made sure to make it our last stop of the day to catch the golden sunlight and it was a total score! These two lovebirds were so much fun and I literally could not get enough of Laura’s infectious laugh. It was such a fun engagement shoot and I loved being able to think outside of the box with these two! Here are just a few of my favorite images from this artsy and urban inspired engagement shoot.
