These two adorable love birds met by chance, but connected with their love of fitness! As a matter of fact when I met them to talk about their wedding, the first words out of my mouth were “you guys are fit!” Talk about #fitcouple goals. They are both dedicated cross fitters (as evidenced by Melissa’s amazing arms) and together they have two super sweet pups. I always love it when a couple brings their fur babies along for the engagement session and their two dogs were double trouble for sure!! ;-) They totally gave us a run for our money, but I was determined to get that obligatory family photo of the four of them and I’m proud to say I pulled it off! *Brushes off shoulders* Never mind the sweat on Devon’s brow from all the wrangling and running around, lol! Thank goodness his mom was there to help distract them in between shots. She was a huge help!

After some fun with their two dogs, we gave them a little break to capture some more romantic shots around the lake. The golden sunlight and pretty yellowing trees made the perfect backdrop. We don’t get a whole lot of “autumn” in Central Florida, but it really did feel like Fall at this little hidden gem of a park in downtown and boy was it pretty. Melissa and Devon are the cutest together and watching the way Devon gets all squinty eyed when he smiles at Melissa was the greatest. I can’t wait for their Summer 2017 wedding. Melissa’s childhood church is actually right in my neighborhood and I’m super excited to capture the moment they become Mr. & Mrs. in June!
