Rafy & Matt | Orlando Wedding Photographer

Rafy and Matt, who currently live in Virginia, planned their Winter wedding mostly from out of state! Although they are both from Orlando where they first met, they relied heavily on their wedding planner Marsha to help bring their vision to life. Since Winter was their favorite season, the theme was planned around jewel tones and wintery colors that would pop at their beautiful lakefront venue. The theme came together beautifully with varying tones of purple and silver. Matt wore a classic black tux with purple touches to match the overall look of the wedding while Rafy wore a crisp white jacket with black pants. They both wore matching black & white bow ties and they truly complimented each other perfectly!

They decided to have a first touch before the ceremony and I found the perfect spot in front of the estate house where they were able to hold hands and enjoy their last few moments as fiancees. Their sweet ceremony took place as the sun was setting over the water and watching them lock eyes for the first time was super special. Their wedding party stood close by with tear filled eyes and the ladies looked stunning in their asymmetrical plum dresses. Despite the unusually cold weather for a Florida wedding– the day was truly magical and filled with so many great moments! I’m super honored they chose me and my team to photograph their amazing wedding day.

The proposal story as told by Rafy:

Matt and I went to Spain in 2016. We went to a small town called Ronda and went to a popular overlook of the old ruins and the large mountainside. He ended up proposing to me and I said yes. I kept on saying i wanted a large, public proposal; but when it happened I actually wanted some privacy. Matt then took me to Queen Isabella’s garden in Ronda — where it was completely private and did it again.
