Jay & Trishna | Orlando Proposal Photographer

Over the last few years we have come to specialize in shooting proposals all over Orlando so needless to say I’ve seen some pretty awesome surprise proposals go down! With that said, I think Jay takes the cake on the most detailed and planned out proposal for 2016! Not only did he execute an elaborately decorated scene at the Port Orleans Riverside resort, but he learned to play the mandolin just for the proposal– now that is true commitment. And what’s crazier is that he planned this all from Texas with the help of Google earth (and his awesome photographer, *wink wink*)!

He contacted me a few weeks prior to go over his ideas and his cover story. He explained that his girlfriend Trishna would be visiting Orlando for a medical conference and he would be flying in early to surprise her. After tossing around a few ideas he decided the best way to trick her into coming to the resort would be to enlist the help of one of her fellow conference goers who would invite her to a work related happy hour at the resort.

Once she walked up she would see a sign and a teddy bear that he had given her previously. Jay would be waiting upstairs where he was going to play her favorite song on the mandolin to catch her attention. What an awesome surprise!! And that’s just how it went down. Once she realized what was going on he walked with her down the path which he meticulously decorated to revisit the journey of their relationship together. At the end of the candle lit path was a gazebo decorated with tulle, their initials in marquee letters, jars with fairy lights and a heart made of rose petals on the ground. There he had a beautiful glass cinderella shoe engraved with her name and the date in which he would present her engagement ring. I told you he was detailed!!

It was the perfect surprise. And better yet Jay’s sister and brother in law (who flew in just to help him execute the proposal) were also there to congratulate them! After a few official engagement portraits around the resort they were swept away on a horse drawn carriage to finish the surprise off with a bang.

Watching Jay scramble around nervously just before Trishna arrived was the absolute sweetest and I’m certain these two have a lifetime of love and fun surprises ahead of them!
