Emily & Daniel | Orlando Proposal Photographer

Daniel is actually an Orlando native, but currently resides in Vancouver with his girlfriend (turned fiance!) Emily. They were traveling to Orlando to visit Disney with his family and he figured this would be the perfect time to pop the question. He reached out to me a couple weeks prior in order to plan the perfect surprise proposal for her! They had originally planned to stay in a different resort alongside his family, but keeping the backdrop he wanted in mind he was able to make a last minute change to their hotel reservations booking them a room at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside resort. It’s such a picturesque property and it’s pretty quiet in the morning time which is when Daniel was able to lure Emily to the gazebo! The backstory was that Daniel’s mom had hired a photographer via Groupon to capture some family photos for them. Everyone would be meeting the photographer at the gazebo at 9am… but Daniel’s family would be “running late”. So I would just offer to take some couples portraits of them in the meantime. That would be Daniel’s golden opportunity to get down on one knee and do the damn thing– And he surely did. 

Emily was totally caught off guard, but of course she said YES! She had no idea what was going on and even asked me afterwards, “Did you take pictures of him proposing to me?” Hahahaha! I most certainly did and they are pretty dang great if I do say so myself. We also had the opportunity to explore the resort a bit as well for some official engagement photos of the two of them! They are just so sweet together and I had a great time capturing all the pretty golden Florida sunshine on this Friday morning. It was so much fun to capture Emily & Daniel’s first day as official fiancees and I can only hope they consider a destination wedding to Orlando! (Although I would hop on a plane to Canada in a heartbeat too– wink, wink) Here are a few favorites from their proposal/engagement photo shoot below!
