Jen & Jeff | Ponce Inlet & New Smyrna Beach Wedding Photography

Talk about an epic wedding of firsts for me as a photographer! First time shooting in a historic light house– check! First time riding a private yacht into the reception– check! First time having “I’m on a Boat” by the Lonely Island play as the couple’s entrance song– double check (because they totally had that sucker on repeat.. yaaaassss!) :-) And it was downright amazing.

You might remember Jen and Jeff from their uber romantic surprise beach proposal last year! With their apparent love of the water a nautical themed wedding day was no surprise. And boy did they pull it off! It was a breezy sun-shining Florida afternoon for their intimate wedding ceremony that took place on the lawn in front of the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse. Only about twenty-five of their closest friends and family joined them to watch as they said “I do.” Following their vows and a few portraits in and around the lighthouse, we headed down the street to the pier where they had a private yacht awaiting them. The next hour was pure bliss as the new Mr. & Mrs. cruised along the channel soaking in the sun on the deck and spotting dolphins en route to their reception. When we arrived at the Smyrna Yacht club shortly before sunset, they made their grand entrance to dozens of cheering guests who were anxiously awaiting them on the dock.

Their reception at the yacht club featured adorable nods to their nautical blue & white theme and beautifully complimented the orchids in the centerpieces and in Jen’s stunner of a bouquet! I loved EVERY. SINGLE. PART. of their wedding day– start to finish it was so them and that was the very best part. I’m sure it will be a day they won’t soon forget and I’m pretty sure I won’t forget it either. I’m so incredibly honored they chose me to capture their big day and I’m very excited to share a few of my favorite images from their sea side wedding day below!
