We’ve been having quite the rainy start to Spring in Orlando lately and I’m afraid to say my rain dances and finger crossing doesn’t alwaysss come through on wedding days. Luckily there are frickin amazing brides like Desiree who won’t let a little water dampen her big day! It’s pretty easy to get stressed out when it’s thundering out in the middle of hair and makeup– but Desiree was such a good sport and kept making jokes the entire time. Seriously my cheeks were hurting within the first hour of being there with her because she is so hilarious. :-) And let me say it is always refreshing to be around fun light-hearted people who won’t let anything bring them down on their big day.. that’s exactly how it SHOULD be. So despite a last minute location change for ceremony, this beauty kept her cool all the way through and got to marry the man of her dreams on the stairs of the historic Porcher House in Cocoa… and it was absolutely beautiful.
Her wedding reception theme was vintage Florida which fit so perfectly at their venue and included Floridian themed post cards for guests to sign in lieu of a guestbook, as well as stunning wild flowers and citrus filled vases on the tables which were cleverly named with references to Florida. There may not have been any actual sunshine on their big day, but her sunshine state theme was beautiful and her beaming smile certainly added a ton a vibrance to their day. It was a joy to photograph their wedding day alongside my friend Kat of Kathryn Kuehn Photography! I hope you enjoy some of my fave photos from D+D’s day below.
