It’s no secret that I get super attached to my couples! The whole ‘we treat you like friends’ thing isn’t just a tag line. I love getting to know all of my clients– hearing their love story and seeing what makes them tick. Not to mention spending one of the most important days of their lives alongside them… it’s pretty damn special. I don’t take it for granted and I truly feel incredibly honored when they ask me to capture these once in a lifetime memories.

That feeling is amplified though when your “clients” are your friends first! I’ve known Raenesha & Gene since they started dating about 10 years ago. As a matter of fact, they started dating right around the time my husband and I did. My husband and Gene knew each other from work and that’s how we all met. We’ve been to endless birthday celebrations, beach days and double dates together. We watched them welcome their youngest son into the world, buy their first house together and get through some of the craziest things life could throw at you– together. I mean let’s be real, in our minds they’ve been married forever! I guess it was just time to make it official. So when they asked us to join them at the Osceola courthouse in Kissimmee to witness them become husband and wife we were elated. (Plus I would have been seriously offended if they asked anyone else to be their photographer!)

It was a simple ceremony in front of their kids and a handful of their closest friends & family and it was perfect. I am so glad I was able to watch these two amazing people become Mr. & Mrs. and I wish them nothing but the very best in their new chapter as official husband and wife.
