Dylan & Libby | Orlando Proposal Photography

Dylan, who was visiting Orlando on vacation with his girlfriend Libby, planned an elaborate surprise proposal to take place during the fireworks show at Disney. As a matter of fact, It was a day full of surprises which included a dozen roses delivered to their room at the Grand Floridian together with chocolates, champagne and a letter from none other than Aladdin’s genie himself. The plan was that the all-powerful genie (aka. Dylan) would be granting all types of special wishes for Libby during their stay. The final surprise of course being a romantic proposal under the fireworks– which is where I would come in!

My starring role was that of the photographer who was sent by the genie to capture some special photos of them with the fireworks. After practicing my lines several times in my very best cheery Disney voice it was show time! I spotted them coming down the pier from afar and summoned them over saying, “Hi Libby! I was sent by the genie!” Her face was priceless and she totally went along with it enjoying every moment. A few moments into the fireworks show, Dylan got down on one knee and asked Libby to become his wife. She was totally shocked and ecstatic– it was perfect. After a few romantic nighttime engagement portraits around the dock, we stopped by their beautiful suite at the Grand Floridian for a few more photos and one more fun surprise– Dylan had embroidered Mickey ears ready to go to announce their engagement along with an ‘engaged’ Disney pin. What a guy! It was truly a fairytale proposal and I was honored to capture it.
